“Thirty years from now, an ounce of drinking water will cost the same as an ounce of gold, if we humans continue with our negligence.” –Bawdwaywidun
It’s not my journey,
Walking and Talking at North Dakota
But the journey is all of ours.
You and me.
The grandmother down the road.
The little boy next door.
And the children to come.
“Pick up the water – pick up the prayer.”
The water is the blood of our mother, the earth.
The same water that sustains her body, sustains our body.
It is the same water, the same blood of her veins.
We are One – What we do to the Earth, we do to ourselves.
“Pick up the water – pick up the prayer.”
Pray for the blood of our mother – the lifeblood we share with our mother.
Pray for your mother, the earth.
A prayer for Her is a prayer for you and the children to come after you.
Pray for the water –the water prayer that is a prayer for all of us.
“Pick up the water – pick up the prayer.”
Pray. Pray. Pray.
